Description

Freixenet Prosecco DOC 75cl, 11% is an elegant Italian sparkling wine made from carefully selected Glera grapes grown within the recognised Prosecco DOC production area in north-eastern Italy.

Freixenet applies its long-standing sparkling-wine expertise to this fresh and accessible Italian expression. Whole bunches are gently pressed before the juice undergoes slow, cool fermentation to preserve the delicate fruit and floral aromas. A second fermentation then takes place in pressurised stainless-steel tanks, creating its lively bubbles and clean, fruit-driven character.

The wine offers inviting aromas of citrus, apple and white flowers. On the palate, ripe lemon, green apple and grapefruit are carried by fine bubbles and refreshing acidity, leading to a light and clean finish. Its distinctive diamond-cut bottle gives the wine additional visual appeal for celebrations, entertaining and gifting.

With a dosage of 17 grams per litre, Freixenet Prosecco has a soft, rounded fruitiness while remaining fresh and lively. It is especially enjoyable as an aperitif but also works well alongside appetisers, salads, seafood and lighter desserts.

Why Choose Freixenet Prosecco DOC 75cl, 11%

This Prosecco stands out because it combines an approachable flavour profile with one of Freixenet’s most distinctive bottle designs. Its cut-glass-style presentation gives it a premium appearance without making the wine overly formal.

The use of 100% Glera provides the familiar freshness expected from Prosecco, including green apple, citrus, floral notes and gentle orchard-fruit sweetness. Controlled tank fermentation preserves these bright aromas and creates a clean, consistent sparkling style.

At 11% ABV, it is light enough for relaxed occasions while retaining enough fruit and structure to accompany food. It is also officially listed as suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.

Ideal For.

This wine is ideal for Prosecco drinkers who enjoy fresh, fruity sparkling wines with green apple, citrus, flowers and gentle sweetness.

It is ideal for birthdays, weddings, brunches, receptions, garden parties, festive celebrations and casual evenings with friends.

It is also ideal as an aperitif or paired with tomato and basil bruschetta, fresh ceviche, salmon and avocado tartare, salads, seafood, light pasta dishes and delicate desserts.

Serve well chilled at approximately 6–8°C in a flute, tulip-shaped sparkling-wine glass or white-wine glass.

Collector’s Note

Freixenet Prosecco DOC is primarily intended for drinking and celebrating rather than long-term collecting. It is a widely available non-vintage expression with no declared limited production quantity.

Its principal display appeal comes from the distinctive faceted bottle, which has become closely associated with Freixenet’s Italian sparkling-wine range. Different label designs, bottle sizes, promotional gift packs and special illuminated presentations may interest collectors of Freixenet packaging.

This Prosecco is best enjoyed while young, when its citrus, apple and floral aromas remain bright and its bubbles are at their freshest. Store the bottle in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight.
