Description
Freixenet Carta Nevada Brut Cava 75cl, 11.5% is a fresh and approachable Spanish sparkling wine produced by Freixenet under the D.O. Cava classification.
It is made from a proportional blend of three traditional white grape varieties native to the Penedes region: Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada. Together, these grapes create a lively style with fresh fruit, light acidity, floral aromas and a smooth, rounded palate.
Carta Nevada is produced using the traditional method, with its second fermentation taking place inside the bottle. The wine then spends approximately nine months ageing on its lees, developing persistent bubbles and subtle complexity while maintaining its youthful fruit character.
The Brut edition has a dosage of approximately 9 grams per litre. This keeps it within the dry Brut category while giving the palate a gentle softness that complements its flavours of ripe peach, apricot, citrus, vanilla and sweet apple.
Presented in Freixenets distinctive frosted white bottle, Carta Nevada is an attractive and versatile Cava for celebrations, aperitifs, brunches and casual dining.
Why Choose Freixenet Carta Nevada Brut Cava 75cl, 11.5%
This Cava stands out because it combines traditional bottle fermentation with an accessible, fruit-forward flavour profile.
Macabeo contributes freshness and gentle floral notes, Xarel·lo adds acidity and structure, while Parellada brings delicacy and aromatic fruit. The result is fresh and lightly crisp, but softer and rounder than many very dry sparkling wines.
Its peach, apricot and vanilla character makes it particularly suitable for drinkers who prefer a friendly Brut style with only mild dryness. The fine bubbles and refreshing acidity also make it versatile enough for food, cocktails or drinking on its own.
The recognisable frosted white bottle adds strong visual appeal for parties, weddings, gift baskets and celebratory tables.
Ideal For.
This bottle is ideal for sparkling-wine drinkers who enjoy peach, apricot, citrus, vanilla and a gently sweet fruit character.
It is ideal for serving as an aperitif, at brunch, during celebrations or as the sparkling base for fruit-led cocktails.
It is also ideal with light salads, Iberian ham, white sausage, spicy Mexican dishes, vegetable stews, roast turkey, sandwiches and small sharing plates.

Collector’s Note
Freixenet Carta Nevada Brut is primarily produced for drinking and celebrations rather than as a numbered or limited collector’s release.
Its presentation nevertheless has historical importance within the Freixenet range. Carta Nevada was introduced in 1941 and broke with convention by using a distinctive frosted bottle, creating a visual identity that remains closely associated with the wine.
Older bottles, discontinued labels, unusual formats and market-specific editions may appeal to Freixenet collectors. However, the regular 75cl release is best enjoyed young, while its fruit, freshness and bubbles remain expressive.
