Fettercairn 16 Year Old 2nd Release 2021 70cl, 46.4% is a limited annual-release Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Fettercairn Distillery. This second release was launched in 2021 and shows a richer sherried style compared with the lighter, tropical character often associated with the distillery.
For this release, Fettercairn used a combination of sherry-matured and sherry-finished whisky. The casks were selected from a small family-run bodega in Jerez and included first-fill Oloroso, refill Oloroso and first-fill aged Palo Cortado sherry butts. The release was bottled at 46.4% ABV and presented without chill filtration.
