Description

Edradour 11 Year Old 2013 Ibisco Decanter 70cl 60% is a rich and characterful Highland single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland’s smallest and most traditional distilleries. Distilled on 7 September 2013 and bottled on 12 December 2024, this release was presented in Edradour’s distinctive Ibisco decanter format, a style strongly associated with premium small-batch and cask strength bottlings from the distillery.

This whisky was drawn from a batch of 10 ex-bourbon casks and bottled at its natural cask strength of 60% ABV. It is also non-chill filtered and natural in colour, preserving the whisky’s full texture and spirit character. Unlike Edradour’s more familiar sherried releases, this bourbon cask matured expression offers a brighter and more fruit-forward side of the distillery, with notes centred on honey, vanilla, apples, coconut, and soft spice.

With a total outturn of 1,997 bottles, this is a limited release with clear appeal for both enthusiasts and collectors. The Ibisco presentation adds extra shelf presence, while the bourbon cask style makes it especially interesting for drinkers who want to explore a fresher and less heavily sherried version of Edradour. That point about collector appeal is partly an inference from the decanter presentation and limited release format.

Collector’s Note

Ibisco decanter releases are especially attractive to Edradour followers because they tend to sit above the standard core range in presentation and enthusiast interest. This bottling is particularly appealing because it combines the decanter format, a limited outturn, and an ex-bourbon maturation style that is less common than the distillery’s more familiar sherry-forward releases.
