Ballechin 20 Year Old 2004 Bourbon Cask (70cl, 52.8%)
Edradour’s heavily peated Ballechin single malt here! This batch was distilled in 2004 and spent 20 years maturing in a host of first fill bourbon barrels bringing waves of caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla to the peppery peat smoke at its core.

Description
Tasting Note
Nose: Assertive yet composed. Maritime smoke with sea salt and herbal ash. Vanilla fudge, charred citrus peel, and a drift of menthol carry through the sweetness.
Palate: Rich, peaty embrace. Soot, burnt herbs, caramelised lemon, and peppered vanilla. An earthy undertone weaves through the smoke and spice, oak framing the chaos.
Finish: Long and clean. Ash and citrus oil linger with subtle tar, black tea, and fading campfire warmth.
Overall: A disciplined brute. Boldly peated, bourbon-polished, and satisfyingly complex.
