The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.7 70cl, 52%
The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve series concludes (a real shame it’s ending) with another sherry-tastic release that proves English whisky can compete with the best. For No.7, it’s a blend of oloroso, PX, and red wine casks, comprising Spanish and American oak, that was bottled at 52% ABV non-chill filtered, with natural colour.
Lambertus 10 Year Old 70cl, 40%
The Lambertus 10 Years Single Grain Belgian Whiskey, aged for 10 years in Limousin oak barrels, is the sumptuous variation of the Lambertus Classic, created in memory of Lambert Radermacher, one of the founders of the distillery. The perfect balance between the roundness of the grain (rye & malted barley), tinged with the patina of time, and the subtlety of the wood gives it a unique richness and splendor.
Amrut Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)
Distilled from barley grown at the North West of India. Amrut mature their single malt in New American Oak and ex-bourbon before bottling.
Amrut Raj Igala (70cl, 40%)
Amrut’s Raj Igala is a single malt whisky made with Punjabi malted barley and aged in casks which previously matured bourbon.
Penderyn Peated (70cl, 46%)
Around 5,000 bottles will be released annually. A peated Welsh whisky, the peat comes solely from the cask the whisky matured in.
Penderyn Sherrywood Finish (70cl, 46%)
Penderyn Sherrywood is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks – a change from their classic expression, which is finished in Madeira casks.

Winner of the 2015 World Whisky Awards – Whisky of The Year
In ancient times, the land around I-Lan in Taiwan was called Kavalan, a mysterious land that was solely inhabited by the indigenous people of the Kavalan clan. The name was officially recognized by the Emperor of the Chin dynasty in the year of 1809 when the original city was also built under the same name.
Kavalan had always been kept primitive and protected from the outside world by the Syue-shan mountain range which is abundant in high quality natural water that comes from deep within the mountain range. The mists of Kavalan and the spirits of the past have been created for you in this exquisite whisky.
Vinho is fully matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and re-charred in a way that brings out fruity vanilla notes from the whisky and wood overlaid on a delicate background of complex fruitiness.
The oak casks are made from American oak that has been seasoned in the open air for at least 24 months. The oak is slow grown that results in a greater release of flavours into the whisky. This reduces the astringent effect of tannins and releases more vanilla spiciness and hints of herbs such as dill and lemon grass. The result is softness and added complexity.
The casks have (deliberately) been used to mature both red and white wines which eventually will contribute the background complex fruitiness to Kavalan Solist Vinho.
After their use for wine maturation the casks are carefully shaved inside then gently toasted over an oak chip fire for a strictly controlled period of time and temperature. This converts wine residues into a complex mixture of fruit flavours including lime, berry fruits and peaches. Then the casks are charred for a short period of time to release lashings of flavours such as vanilla, ice cream and caramelised sugars.
The result is a more complex whisky than is possible than with whisky casks alone!
Kavalan Solist Fino Sherry (70cl, 57.8%)
The pinnacle of Kavalan’s early production – a whisky matured in Fino sherry casks, rather than the more usual darker sherry styles. Rich with more fresh fruit than you might expect from a sherried whisky.

More creative cask finishing wizardry from the gang at the Lakes Distillery! This expression of The One blended whisky was treated to a finish in Colheita Port casks. Colheita Port is made using the grapes from a single harvest, and notes of delicate fruits and warming spices certainly shine here.
Canadian Corn Whisky 8 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (70cl, 45.8%)
You can always trust That Boutique-y Whisky Company to bottle up some brilliant whisky – the indie bottler has been at it for over a decade, releasing some truly superb single casks, small batches, limited editions. This Canadian corn whisky is no exception, except for the “limited edition” bit, because this one forms part of the Boutique-y Whisky core range… all in proper, grown up, 70cl bottles!
Matured for eight years, entirely in oloroso casks, it’s packed with layers of sherried fruit, toffee ice cream, toasted almonds, and popcorn.
Paul John 6 Year Old – Batch 6 That Boutique-y Whisky Company (50cl, 47.6%)
An Indian single malt whisky from the Paul John distillery, located in tropical Goa. Paul John distillery uses six row barley that is sourced from foothills of the Himalayas. The high fibre and protein content in six row barley, offers a distinct tannic character to the spirit. The tropical climate for maturation means a high angel’s share, 8-10%, as opposed to Scotland’s 2-3%. After just six years of maturation, around 40% of the cask contents is lost to evaporation. That loss would take around 24 years in Scotland! A cracking addition to That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Series, with a label that imagines James Bond, Bollywood style.
Batch 6 is a release of 175 bottles.
Burnt Ends Blended Whiskey Small Batch Peated & Sherry Cask Finish (50cl, 45%)
Burnt ends – the sleeper hit of the barbecue world. Your brain might jump to Flintstone-sized racks of ribs and piles of pulled pork when barbecue is brought up, but those charred, smoky morsels are hard to beat. With that in mind, behold, Burnt Ends Blended Whisky! Inspired by the tasty goods served at the barbecue joints of the USA, this rich, meaty expression brings together Tennessee rye whiskey and sherry cask-finished peated single malt Scotch whisky, all within a bottle that looks like it should hold barbecue sauce. It’s meaty, smoky, rich and satisfying stuff.

A blend of whiskies from around the world, created by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, this blend includes whisky from Scotland, Canada, Ireland, Sweden, USA, Switzerland, Netherlands, Taiwan, India, Italy, Germany, France, Japan and Finland.
Planet Earth. It’s rather good, isn’t it? Not only is it a habitable sphere floating around in a generally uninhabitable void, it’s also got whisky. Whisky is made all over the shop, and enjoyed in a plethora of ways – which has inspired That Boutique-y Whisky Company to create the World Whisky Blend! Just like the bottle says, it’s “a blend of incredible whiskies from planet Earth”, and perfect for mixing. So whether you enjoy your whisky with cola, ginger ale, soda water, tonic, coconut water or even green tea, this’ll be more than suitable. It’s also marvellous served neat, if you’re not a fan of mixing whisky…
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish (50cl, 40%)
Established in 2005, Kavalan is Taiwan’s first whiskymaker, with their Kavalan Concertmaster named Best in Class at the 2011 International Wine & Spirit Competition. This single malt whisky showcases Ruby Port, Tawny Port and Vintage Port casks from Portugal to finish whiskies that were initially matured in American oak.
Amrut Kadhambam Third Edition (70cl, 50%)
Here we have an Indian single malt from Amrut, titled Kadhambam, which means ‘mixture’ in Tamil, and you’ll realise why that name was chosen once you hear all about the cask maturation. It’s initially matured in bourbon casks, before being transferred into Oloroso sherry casks, then moved to brandy casks and, finally, into rum casks. Finally, the whisky was bottled at 50% ABV, packed with a pretty unique flavour profile.
Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique (70cl, 57.1%)
To mature their Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique expression, the King Car distillers in Taiwan use casks which have held both red and white wines, before being re-toasted. The whisky is fully matured in these casks to help their Taiwanese single malt develop a bold, expressive flavour profile brimming with berry, plum and caramelised sugar notes. At the Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Competition this exciting Taiwanese whisky received a Gold Medal and an impressive score of 91 out of 100.
Kavalan King Car Whisky Conductor (70cl, 46%)
This expression from the Taiwanese King Car distillery is the first to carry the name of the King Car Group instead of ‘Kavalan’ as their single malt whiskies have all be known as to date. Created as a well-rounded malt to represent the well-rounded Group, who operate in many industries, it is also bottled at a higher abv of 46%.
Penderyn Celt (70cl, 41%)
A 2015 addition to the Penderyn range of Welsh single malt whiskies! This is the Penderyn Celt, which enjoys a finishing period in peated casks, resulting in a subtle, elegant wisp of smoky peat coming through…
Kavalan Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 40%)
King Car distillery is located in Yilan County, Taiwan, and the single malt whisky produced there is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited this northeastern corner of the island: the Kavalan.
Although the distillery was only brought on stream in 2005, the warm sub-tropical climate means that the whisky effectively matures more quickly and an impressive range of whiskies are available (now finally in the UK too!). This Kavalan Single Malt Whisky, for example was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2011 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
