From the outset of working with the GlenAllachie spirit, Master Blender Billy Walker continually expressed his desire to use our vintage stocks to craft a truly outstanding thirty year old. With this objective in mind, he has meticulously supervised the development of the slumbering whisky within each earmarked cask until optimal interaction between distillery and wood was achieved.
Bottled at cask strength of 50.8%, non chillfiltered and at natural colour, this small batch release truly showcases GlenAllachie in its purest form, the perfect unison of cask and distillery character.
A combination of eight hand-selected PX, Oloroso and virgin oak casks, Batch 2 is limited to just 2,000 bottles worldwide.

In celebration of Master Distiller Billy Walker’s half-century long career in the whisky industry, we are delighted to unveil the first in The Past, Present and Future Series: The GlenAllachie 50th Anniversary Past Edition.
This bottling represents Walker’s past when he made a name for himself by releasing heavily sherried expressions to great acclaim. A combination of nine 2005 vintage Spanish Sherry butts, this 100% Sherry matured malt is overflowing with rich espresso, heather honey, glazed figs and sweet spices.
Presented at natural cask strength of 57.1%, with no added colouring and non chill filtered for maximum flavour.
Limited release of 4,000 bottles worldwide.

GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Chinquapin Virgin Oak Finish (70cl, 48%)

From Batch 2 of our Virgin Oak Series, this exceptional malt was first matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before undergoing additional maturation in casks made of Chinquapin Oak (Quercus Muehlenbergii), which is sourced from the Northern Ozark region in Missouri for approximately 18 months. The casks were air dried for almost four years, then toasted to medium level before hosting the spirit.
The result is a complex, zesty malt bursting with runny honey, sweet cinnamon and orange peel.
Bottled at 48%, natural colour and non chill filtered.

The Balvenie 25 Year Old Single Barrel Traditional Oak, was introduced to the Balvenie single malt Scotch whisky range in 2014. Released in batches, each bottle is one of no more than 300, drawn from a single cask, all of which are refill American oak casks. There will be slight variations between batches, but the casks selected by Malt Master David Stewart for this release are chosen for having the richly spiced, sweetly honeyed character you’d expect from 25 year old Balvenie single malt aged in American oak. This means there is an overarching consistency between batches.
