Aberlour A’Bunadh Batch 80 (70cl, 61%)
Batch 88 of the mighty Aberlour A’Bunadh, matured in oloroso butts and bottled at natural cask strength 61% ABV without chill filtration. The whisky from this range never disappoints
Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 4 (1L, 48%)
The Casg Annamh series from Aberlour takes its name from the Gaelic for “rare cask”, and a trio of casks are used to create the expressions – European oak sherry casks and two types of American oak cask. The result is brimming with toffee and dried fruit, alongside a generous handful of kitchen spices. This is the fourth batch from the series, delivering yet more Speyside single malt tastiness
Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 7 (1L, 48%)
The seventh batch from a series that delivers consistent sherried Speyside tastiness and takes its name from the Gaelic for ‘rare cask’. Aberlour uses a trio of casks to create each batch, all sherried, with one European oak and two varieties of American oak.
Allt-A-Bhainne 23 Year Old 1996 The Octave (Duncan Taylor) cask 10123659 70cl, 52.5%
Allt-a-Bhainne 23yo 1996
Allt-A-Bhainne single malt, distilled in 1996 and matured for 23 years, before being independently bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2020. The whisky spent those years in an octave cask that previously held sherry, and due to te cask’s smaller size that sherry influence is all the more present in the final product. Released as part of The Octave series, with a total of 70 bottles.

Auchroisk 7 Year Old 2010 Parkmore Selection (70cl, 46%)
An independently bottled 7 year old Auchroisk single malt, released as part of the Parkmore Selection (based in the Coleburn warehouse – wonderful stuff to hear for those of us who love hearing about closed distilleries not just being left to rot or getting smashed into pieces). It was initially aged in bourbon casks before enjoying a finishing period in casks that previously held Madeira wine.
Aultmore 10 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 53.8%)
We do love a well sherried Aultmore, and this one makes an excellent addition to the collection from indie bottler Darkness! Matured for 10 years, the whisky was finished in a custom-made octave cask that previously held oloroso sherry. It’s a hugely characterful sipper, brimming with oily nuts, dried fruit, roasted coffee, and biscuity malt.
Aultmore 12 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
12 year old Aultmore single malt Scotch whisky, unveiled in 2014 for the Last Great Malts by Dewar’s. A refreshing dram, with plenty of vanilla, honey and citrus, alongside a touch of grassiness. It’s been quite a while since a distillery bottling of Aultmore has been released, so this is all rather exciting indeed.
Aultmore 13 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (50cl, 50%)
This 13-year-old single malt from Aultmore joins That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Cinema Series having matured in not one, but two different bourbon casks. After an initial 11 years in a refill bourbon barrel, the whisky was re-racked in a fresh first-fill bourbon barrel to bathe for its final years, ensuring that the biscuity malt shines alongside layers of zesty citrus and chalky grist.
Batch 18 is a release of 418 bottles.
Aultmore 18 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
An 18 year old Aultmore launched in 2015 as part of John Dewar & Sons’ Last Great Malts ranges.
Balmenach 9 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 56.6%)
Much of the single malt produced at Speyside’s Balmenach distillery is destined for premium blends including the likes of Johnnie Walker… not this little gem though! This single malt joins the Darkness range of intensely sherried whiskies, having matured for nine years, including a finish in a single oloroso sherry octave cask. The smaller casks that Darkness uses allow more interaction between the wood and the whisky, so you can expect mouthcoating layers of sweet, nutty spice here.
