Aberlour 6 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 48.7%)
This six-year-old single malt from Aberlour joins the Darkness collection, meaning you can expect plenty of sherry cask goodness here. This one finished its time maturing in an oloroso sherry octave. The small size of the cask ensures greater interaction between the whisky and the wood, and this single malt is brimming with notes of burnt sugar and cream, sweet spice, and candied nuts.
Aberlour 6 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 49%)
Another delicious six-year-old Aberlour single malt joins the Darkness range, and this one was drawn from a custom-made octave cask that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. Prepare for rich layers of floral honey, nutty malt, and creamy chocolate here.
Aberlour A’Bunadh Batch 80 (70cl, 61%)
Batch 88 of the mighty Aberlour A’Bunadh, matured in oloroso butts and bottled at natural cask strength 61% ABV without chill filtration. The whisky from this range never disappoints
Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 4 (1L, 48%)
The Casg Annamh series from Aberlour takes its name from the Gaelic for “rare cask”, and a trio of casks are used to create the expressions – European oak sherry casks and two types of American oak cask. The result is brimming with toffee and dried fruit, alongside a generous handful of kitchen spices. This is the fourth batch from the series, delivering yet more Speyside single malt tastiness
Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 7 (1L, 48%)
The seventh batch from a series that delivers consistent sherried Speyside tastiness and takes its name from the Gaelic for ‘rare cask’. Aberlour uses a trio of casks to create each batch, all sherried, with one European oak and two varieties of American oak.
Allt-A-Bhainne 23 Year Old 1996 The Octave (Duncan Taylor) cask 10123659 70cl, 52.5%
Allt-a-Bhainne 23yo 1996
Allt-A-Bhainne single malt, distilled in 1996 and matured for 23 years, before being independently bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2020. The whisky spent those years in an octave cask that previously held sherry, and due to te cask’s smaller size that sherry influence is all the more present in the final product. Released as part of The Octave series, with a total of 70 bottles.

Auchroisk 7 Year Old 2010 Parkmore Selection (70cl, 46%)
An independently bottled 7 year old Auchroisk single malt, released as part of the Parkmore Selection (based in the Coleburn warehouse – wonderful stuff to hear for those of us who love hearing about closed distilleries not just being left to rot or getting smashed into pieces). It was initially aged in bourbon casks before enjoying a finishing period in casks that previously held Madeira wine.
Aultmore 10 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 53.8%)
We do love a well sherried Aultmore, and this one makes an excellent addition to the collection from indie bottler Darkness! Matured for 10 years, the whisky was finished in a custom-made octave cask that previously held oloroso sherry. It’s a hugely characterful sipper, brimming with oily nuts, dried fruit, roasted coffee, and biscuity malt.
