Bottled in the year 2005-2007 at cask strength 55.7% abv, this terrific single malt is one of the legendary whiskies from Laphroaig, where the rough Atlantic climate around the island of Islay is literally felt on the tongue. The oak casks used in the production of the 10 years Laphroaig cask strength scotch whisky are lightly fired before filling to impart the slightly sweet vanilla-nuttiness of the oak. The Islay single malt whisky is then matured in Laphroaig s warehouses for a period of 10 years before being bottled at cask strength (straight from the wood).
