Old Pulteney 2006 (1L, 46%)
Old Pulteney 2006 Vintage is matured next to the sea in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks. This polished copper single malt entices with its elegant spicy vanilla and energetic melting toffee aromas.
The 2019 bottling in this popular series of vintage whiskies from Old Pulteney.
Initially a travel retail exclusive, this whisky has been aged in first-fill American oak former Bourbon casks, which showcases Pulteney’s classic North Highland maritime style.
The spirit has enjoyed a 12 year maturation, developing a good level of complexity and depth. Old Pulteney 2006 offers up notes of vanilla, subtle spice, sea spray, oak, hay, pears, apples, malt, a little chopped herb, slight earth, flowers, mint, cream and some exotic fruit notes (pineapple, mango).
The dram is bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration or artificial colouration, ensuring a richness of flavour and mouthfeel.
Another top quality offering from this consistently reliable distillery.

As always, there’s just a hint of seaside salinity amid the creamier notes from the cask.
Oban Bay Reserve Game of Thrones Single Malts Collection Night’s Watch (70cl, 43%)
If you haven’t seen the show, essentially The Night’s Watch hold and guard the Wall, an immense ice structure which separates the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms from the lands beyond. If you’re not very familiar with Oban, it’s a whisky producer in the Highlands that sits on the edge of Scotland’s western coast that’s known for its clean and intensely fruity Scotch. In our opinion, both provide equally important services. One protects the realm from raiders and worse (no spoilers, people), while the other makes very tasty whisky for us to drink. See – equally important.

Mackinlay’s Shackleton Rare Old Highland Malt The Journey 2st Edition (70cl, 47.3%)
The 2007 discovery of whisky left in Antarctica by Sir Ernest Shackleton during his famous expedition in the early 1900s led to Richard ‘The Nose’ Paterson using all his skill and experience to recreate this historic whisky, raising £250,000 for the Antarctic Heritage Trust in the process.
Approached by the charity and Alexandra Shackleton (Ernest’s grand-daughter) to produce a second edition of his blended malt to coincide with Tim Jarvis’ Shackleton Epic (the first authentic re-enactment of Shackleton’s extraordinary Antarctic survival journey of 1916), how could Paterson refuse?
Digging out another rare cask of Glen Mhor (an even older one, this time from 1980), as well as some heavily-peated Dalmore(!), he once again recreated the Shackleton whisky, also using malts from Glenfarclas, Mannochmore, Tamnavulin, Ben Nevis, Aultmore, Fettercairn, Pulteney and Jura.
The resulting masterpiece of blending offers something different, whilst clearly coming from the same lineage as his first lovingly recreated malt. A new and critically-acclaimed interpretation of a truly classic whisky.
Mackinlay’s Shackleton Rare Old Highland Malt The Discovery 1st Edition (70cl, 47.3%)

The whisky was recreated down to the very last detail by Whyte and Mackay’s blender extraordinaire, Richard Paterson. The final replica bottle of Mackinlay’s blend contains whiskies from Speyside, the Island, and the Highlands, and the recipe even includes some very rare 1983 Glen Mhor!
