Dailuaine 12 Year Old Palo Cortado Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 57.2%)
This Dailuaine single malt joins the Darkness range, after finishing its 12-year maturation in a custom-made palo cortado sherry octave. It boasts a brilliant balance of oily malt, sweet dried fruits, and savoury malt.
Dailuaine 10 Year Old 2007 Provenance Douglas Laing (70cl, 46%)
A single cask bottling of Dailuaine single malt, independently bottled by those ever-wonderful Douglas Laing folks. This whisky was distilled by Dailuaine back in January 2007 and left to age in a refill hogshead for 10 years. In February 2017, it was bottled as part of the Provenance range with an outturn of 357 bottles.
Cu Dhub Black (70cl, 40%)
Cu Dhub, pronounced “kaddoo,” is actually a very loose recreation of a whisky called Loch Dhu, which was bottled for only a few years in the ’90s and managed to attain a sort of cult following during that time. Most reviews revel in how awful it is — primarily because it drew its color not from caramel but from extra-charred oak barrels, where it spent 10 years.
Croftengea 11 Year Old Batch 5 That Boutique-y Whisky Company (50cl, 47.8%)
The Loch Lomond distillery is famed for its unique and varied still setup, which enables it to produce a vast array of different whisky styles. But is all of that just a cover for the fact that it’s actually run by a bunch of wizards? The folks at That Boutique-y Whisky Company certainly suspect so. A smoky spell must have been cast when making this one, it’s a peated Croftengea single malt that spent 11 years maturing in a refill bourbon hogshead.
Batch 5 is a release of 183 bottles.

Craigellachie 17 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
It used to be a rather rare sight to see an official bottling of Craigellachie single malt. Well after years of waiting, in 2014, four turned up all at once! The 17 year old expression really shows off the meatiness of this Speysider’s spirit – top stuff.
Craigellachie 13 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
One of the three official Craigellachie bottlings released in 2014, their 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky handsomely shows off the bold, robust character of the distillery’s output. Oodles of dynamic fruit notes with a distinctive current of smoke running through the middle. Single malt Craigellachie hasn’t been seen much outside of indie bottlings recently, so this is an ace return to our glasses from the distillery!
Craigellachie 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Darkness (50cl, 62%)
Hailing from the Craigellachie distillery, this single malt spent a dozen years maturing, including a finish in an oloroso sherry octave cask. Octave casks are smaller, thus allowing more interaction between whisky and wood for the time that they are full. They’re the cask of choice for Darkness, ensuring the intensely sherried character for which its range is renowned.

Crabbie 8 Year Old (70cl, 46%)
At some point in the 1970s, John Crabbie & Co stopped producing their whiskies – but in early 2018, they returned to the fray! As their own distillery in Edinburgh gets up and running, they released a pair of single malt whiskies from undisclosed distilleries, including this 8 Year Old expression . It’s based around their original 8 Year Old Blend produced long ago, but intriguingly a bit different…
