2017 marks the third annual version of Laphroaig’s limited-edition aged releases. This 27-year-old whisky has been matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and refill quarter casks. Smoky and fruity with notes of citrus fruit, leather and sea spray.
The resulting single malt Scotch whisky benefits from this method, possessing depth, character and flavour that permeates through the cask-strength bottling. The distillation occurred at Laphroaig distillery, and the spirit was bottled at 41.7% in March 2017.

Beautifully married with the sweet vanilla notes enhanced with ageing, the whisky develops into a more mature, well-rounded dram.
