Glenfiddich Experimental Series Fire & Cane Second Release (70cl, 43%)
Let the great experiment… Continue! Glenfiddich has added a new expression to its Experimental Series, unveiling Fire & Cane in mid-2018. Malt master Brian Kinsman has given some of the distillery’s peated single malt a three-month finishing period in rum casks – but not just any old rum casks. He’s selected rum casks from a variety of South American countries to finish this whisky, which ought to play nicely with the burly peat notes at its core.
Compass Box Great King Street Artist’s Blend (70cl, 43%)
A delicious, approachable blended Scotch whisky from the folks at Compass Box. The Great King Street range takes its name from their Edinburgh offices. The blend features Clynelish malt matured in first fill bourbon hogshead, a Highland malt blend aged in custom toasted new French oak barrels, malt from Linkwood matured in a sherry butt and a large proportion of Cameronbridge grain whisky aged in first fill American oak barrels.

Like the canvas of colours that light up the sky at sunset, this Limited Release shines bright with bursts of warm citrus & harmonious spices. Radiant with tonic & a slice of cucumber.

Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire 10 Year Old (70cl, 40%)
This right here is a 10-year-old single malt from an undisclosed distillery on Islay, with 25% of it having been finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks, and bestowed the decidedly descriptive name Seaweed & Aeons & Digging & Fire. If those four words (and three ampersands) aren’t quite enough of an explanation of what this expression is all about, here are a few more: stripped-back, smoky, complex, a bit sherried, balanced, coastal. Yeah, that should do it. Great for people who love uncompromising Islay whisky and sans-serif fonts.
Hendrick’s Amazonia (1L, 43.4%)
Hendrick’s Amazonia takes the rounded house style of Hendrick’s Gin and allow to blossom in an altogether new fashion. This expression sees Hendrick’s Gin instilled with additional tropical essences that result in a gin inspired by the mysterious and exotic flavours and essences of the Amazon. The liquid accentuates the existing cucumber and rose elements signature to Hendrick’s but reveals bright, tropical flavour characteristics of the native jungle flora.

A very good value, Islay based blend which is said to be chock full of Laphroaig. A great gift for someone who loves smoke, particularly as the price of smoky single malts keeps rising.
Islay Mist was created on Islay in the 1920s using whisky from the Laphroaig Distillery as well as choice Speyside distilleries. Initially blended for the 21st birthday celebration of the son and heir of the then Lord Sargadale, this gold-medal winning whisky still carries the seal of the Lord of the Isles.
Staying true to the founding recipe, Islay Mist remains the original peated blend with characteristic balanced smoky and peaty tones between layers of mellow oaky maltiness.

A wonderfully peaty expression from the Glenturret Distillery, offering up a well-balanced flavour profile of nutty malt, oaky smoke and vibrant citrus. Ought to make for a great postprandial dram, this one.

Inspired by a moonlit evening tending botanicals in the hothouse, Hendrick’s master distiller Lesley Gracie has made Lunar Gin, a warming, spicy expression well suited to sipping while in the evening. Subtle peppery sparks, fragrant citrus oils and floral wafts abound here.
Canadian Corn Whisky 8 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (70cl, 45.8%)
You can always spot bottles from That Boutique-y Whisky Company thanks to their stand out label designs, created by Emily Chappell. The indie bottler is celebrating its iconic imagery with a series of Label Editions, including this limited edition 700ml bottle of Canadian Corn whisky! Matured for eight years, this expression is a marriage of whiskies matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry and Islay whisky octave casks offering a delicious twist on Boutique-y’s core Canadian expression. The label features an element from previous Boutique-y labels, a dartboard belonging to the bottler’s compliance team (or the ‘fun police’ as they like to call them). Wait, is that the beloved Canadian Sam Simmons, 2023 Blender of the Year that they’ve been throwing darts at?!

Canadian Corn Whisky 8 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company (70cl, 45.8%)
You can always trust That Boutique-y Whisky Company to bottle up some brilliant whisky – the indie bottler has been at it for over a decade, releasing some truly superb single casks, small batches, limited editions. This Canadian corn whisky is no exception, except for the “limited edition” bit, because this one forms part of the Boutique-y Whisky core range… all in proper, grown up, 70cl bottles!
Matured for eight years, entirely in oloroso casks, it’s packed with layers of sherried fruit, toffee ice cream, toasted almonds, and popcorn.
Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash (70cl, 50%)
Triple Mash is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, which means that it must be distilled by a single distiller during a single distillation season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). All those regulations are met by every whiskey Jack Daniel’s will launch in its Bonded Series, which kicked off with this beauty as well as its Bonded bottling.

MMA fighter and boxer Conor McGregor has stepped in to the ring of whiskey making with Proper No. Twelve, a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, the team created nearly 100 blends before deciding upon the one in the bottle. Proper No. Twelve takes its name from Dublin 12, the area where McGregor grew up.
Don Ramón Mezcal Joven Espadin 70cl, 40%
Casa Don Ramon is known for its wide range of Jalisco Tequilas, but it also produces mezcals. Made exclusively from Salmiana agave from Zacatecas, this unaged expression offers floral and herbal notes with citrus, subtle fruitiness and indulgent smoke throughout the palate.
Don Ramón Joven Espadin
An impressive joven mezcal from Don Ramón, produced from 100% Espadín agave. Gently smoky, the sweet woody notes of cooked agave are allowed to shine, making this a good choice for well balanced cocktails. Oh, and the lid is shaped like a jaguar head, which certainly stands out.
Bathtub Gin (70cl, 43.3%)
An extraordinary award-winning gin from Ableforth’s. Made using the traditional method of Cold Compounding (or in layman’s terms – infusing). Very high quality copper pot-still spirit is infused with ingredients including juniper, orange peel, coriander, cassia, cloves and cardamom, with the length of the compounding period controlled entirely by periodic sampling.
The result is an extraordinary gin, lightly tinted by the botanicals, and with a flavour which is both bold, and perfumed all at once. Sure to be a hit with amateur and professional mixologists alike.
Packaged using brown paper, string and wax, the presentation puts us in mind of a Victorian apothecary!
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin 70cl, 43.%
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is an oriental-inspired spirit from The Shed Distillery in Co Leitrim that’s setting the world alight. Taking its name from one of the signature botanicals, slowly dried Gunpowder tea, the recipe also includes lime, lemon and grapefruit. This will work best with a Mediterranean tonic water.
The limited edition ceramic bottle features illustrations that tell the brand’s story inspired by the iconic Willow pattern.
Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin (70cl, 43.4%)
Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin is a limited version that captures the magic of the sea in a gin. The creation of the Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie is as refreshing as her muse, the mighty waves lashing the Atlantic coast of Ayrshire. Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a striking, surprisingly smooth citrus finish. The nose has a resinous note of juniper, followed by intense floral and citrus touches. On the palate it is delicate, herbaceous and spicy, with a slight salinity in the background. It ends in a citrusy finish.
Tarquin’s Handcrafted Cornish Gin (70cl, 42%)
An exotic, world spanning botanical basket makes Tarquin’s Gin. Orris root from Morocco, green cardamom seeds from Guatemala, cinnamon from Madagascar and Devon violets from… Well, from the distiller’s garden in Cornwall.
Southwestern Distillery produce small batches of their artisan Tarquin’s Gin using their flame-fired copper pot still called Tamara, goddess of the Tamar. It’s then bottled by hand and sent off into the world, to spread the news that Cornwall is producing some fabulous gin.

Your brain might jump to Flintstone-sized racks of ribs and piles of pulled pork when barbecue is brought up, but those charred, smoky morsels are hard to beat. With that in mind, behold, Burnt Ends Blended Whisky! Inspired by the tasty goods served at the barbecue joints of the USA, this rich, meaty expression brings together Tennessee rye whiskey and sherry cask-finished peated single malt Scotch whisky, all within a bottle that looks like it should hold barbecue sauce. It’s meaty, smoky, rich and satisfying stuff.
