Wilson & Morgan was founded in Italy in 1992 by Fabio Rossi, the son of prolific importer Mario Rossi Jr, who began distributing Scotch whisky back in the 1960s. His son’s company was one of a new generation of Italian bottlers established in the 1990s, which aimed to replicate the successes of predecessors like Samaroli and Moon Import.
This is a blend of 1980 vintage malt and grain whiskies, aged in sherry wood and bottled as 35 year old in 2015.

Hine Rare VSOP is a blend of Grande and Petite Champagnes (60% is the former). This is what’s known as a Fine Champagne. The cognac is aged from between 6 and 12 years, with most being around 8 years old. It is a stunning cognac with an excellent delivery. It was first blended by the eponymous Thomas Hine.

A celebration of both old and new: Hine’s XO Antique Grande Champagne Cognac
Blended with eaux-de-vie exclusively from the premier cru, Grande Champagne, this Hine XO Antique Grande Champagne Cognac is innovation, a relic from the times of Georges Hine brought to life for the modern Cognac connoisseur. The recipe was developed in 1920 by Hine himself, and was relaunched in 2010 by the Cognac house as a single cru XO. The 40 different Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie have been aged for a minimum of 10 years in traditional French Limousin oak casks, a homage to Hine’s heritage and the Cognac house’s history of fine craftsmanship.
This traditional XO with a modern design is a celebration of both old and new, a new and exciting experience in the present that simultaneously pays its respects to the past. This elegant XO releases aromas of sweet vanilla, ripe green fruits with some delicate earthy tones punctuating the sweet and fruity notes, a perpetual play between fruit and oak.
On the palate, the warming sensation of spices only serves to enhance and lift the sweet and exotic vanilla, complemented by notes of hazelnut and quince. Accents of fig tart and blonde tobacco also present themselves on the palate in a long and lingering finish. This XO may not boast a typical flavor profile for a Grande Champagne blend, but it certainly proves why this region is considered the premier cru with its complexity and depth of character.

For Triskelion, three legendary Highland Park whisky makers joined forces. Together, Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay chose and married three principal cask types, with the aim of exploring the influence of wood and cask seasoning. Liquid from first-fill sherry seasoned Spanish oak butts, first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and first-fill bourbon barrels and hogsheads, along with a small number of refill casks was bottled up at 45.1% ABV. Magnus worked as a butcher and church official by day, but by night he was a legendary whisky smuggler and distiller outwitting the exciseman.
To honour their hero (the Batman of the Orkney Islands, if you will), Highland Park have created a whisky with a suitably ‘dark’ character. Using 80% first-fill Sherry casks (20% refill) – 60% are first-fill European oak, with 20% being first-fill American oak – an exciting, spicy, chocolatey whisky has been produced.

Presented in a beautifully embossed green glass bottle, the serpent dragon design takes its inspiration from the great Norse sagas and embraces both the high sun of the summer solstice and the low sun of the winter solstice – the polar opposites of our island seasons – while the runic writing reflects the ancient carvings of our Viking ancestors which can still be seen today, here in Orkney.
Names then gave they to noon and twilight, morning they named, and the waning moon, night and evening, the years to number.

The creation of the Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie is as refreshing as her muse, the mighty waves lashing the Atlantic coast of Ayrshire. Infused with an exquisite blend of locally sourced coastal botanicals and with a striking, surprisingly smooth citrus finish. The nose has a resinous note of juniper, followed by intense floral and citrus touches. On the palate it is delicate, herbaceous and spicy, with a slight salinity in the background.
