Glengoyne Distillery is a whisky distillery continuously in operation since its founding in 1833 at Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow, Scotland. Glengoyne is unique in producing Highland single malt whisky matured in the Lowlands. Located upon the Highland Line, the division between the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland, Glengoyne’s stills are in the Highlands while maturing casks of whisky rest across the road in the Lowlands. Unlike many malt whisky distilleries today, Glengoyne does not use peat smoke to dry their barley, but instead uses warm air.

Glengoyne is one of the only Scottish whiskies to be distilled from completely unpeated malt – the malt is allowed to dry naturally before fermentation and distillation begin, resulting in an elegant, medium-bodied style.

Glengoyne’s 15 year old strikes the perfect balance between sweet bourbon cask character and rich, fruity sherry notes. There isn’t a peep of peat to be found in this Highland single malt Scotch whisky, which uses air-dried barley in its kilning process.
A replacement for Glengoyne’s 17yo that appeared in their revamped range in late 2012. A mix of refill sherry casks and a generous slug of first-fill sherry-matured whisky.
Introduced in early 2014, this is a 25 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery – an addition to their core range. The Highlands distillery uses unpeated malt for this whisky, which is then matured for a quarter of a century in Sherry casks.

The Glengoyne 30 Year Old joined the distillery’s annual limited-release range in 2017. This release was aged for a minimum of 30 years in carefully selected sherry casks, creating rich notes of seasonal spices and dried fruits. Aromas of black cherry and sherry trifle, along with rum-raisin chocolate are seasoned with cinnamon and cloves on the palate, making this expression perfect for whisky lovers looking for an indulgent sherry cask whisky.
