This limited edition 25-year-old Royal Salute was bottled in 1993 to celebrate the marriage of Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan, to Masaka Owada on 9 June that year.
Created by master blender, Charles H Julian, the Royal Salute was launched in 1953 as a tribute to the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II.
This 25 Year Old was released to commemorate the Royal Wedding of the Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito to Masako Owada in 1993.

Why 21 years old you might ask? 21 is an important designation as it refers to the 21-gun-salute, for generations a form of honor and respect to sovereigns and dignitaries. Be aware that there are 3 different colors for the ceramic decanters (sapphire, ruby, and emerald), but the spirit is the same.
