Distilled from sugar cane in a pot still at Rhum Barbancourt, Plantation’s Haiti 2010 then went through quite the ageing process. Firstly, it spent five years in bourbon casks in Haiti, before being transferred to a cooler continental climate for a further two years of ageing in Ferrand casks. Finally, the rum was treated to a finish Ferrand Cognac 10 GĂ©nĂ©rations casks for one year. It was bottled in 2018 in a limited release of 288 bottles at 40.15% ABV.
