Description

Edradour 30 Year Old 1995 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cask 70cl 55.1% is a rare and highly mature Highland single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland’s smallest and most traditional distilleries. Distilled on 20 June 1995 and bottled on 1 July 2025, this exceptional release was created as part of Edradour’s 200th Anniversary 1825–2025 series, giving it immediate appeal for serious enthusiasts and collectors.

This bottling comes from a single 2nd fill Châteauneuf-du-Pape hogshead, cask number 2110, and was released at its natural cask strength of 55.1% ABV. It is presented in the elegant Ibisco decanter style and, according to Whiskybase, is natural colour, non-chill filtered, and single cask. Only 129 bottles were produced, making it one of the scarcer anniversary releases in the range.

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape cask influence gives Edradour’s naturally weighty Highland spirit a rich and wine-driven profile that stands apart from the distillery’s more familiar sherry-led expressions. With three decades of maturation behind it, this is a premium bottle aimed at drinkers who appreciate mature whisky with depth, structure, and individuality. The comparison to Edradour’s more typical style is an inference based on the cask type and how the release is presented by retailers.

Collector’s Note

This is exactly the kind of bottle that draws serious collector attention: a 30-year age statement, a 1995 vintage, a single-cask presentation, a 200th anniversary release, and an outturn of just 129 bottles. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape cask also makes it stand out within the Edradour range, especially for buyers who enjoy comparing the distillery’s classic profile with rarer wine-cask expressions. The comparison point is an inference based on the cask style and Edradour’s wider release profile.
