This expression is distilled from fermented fresh sugar cane juice using a continuous stainless steel column still, then matured in ex-Bourbon barrels. The filtration process removes much of the colour while keeping the flavour gained from ageing, giving the rum its pale golden appearance and smooth oak-aged character.
