Originally introduced in April 2005, the 30 Year Old occupied the flagship position in Highland Park’s range before the arrival of its 40-year-old expression.

This presentation belongs to the highly regarded earlier generation bottled at 48.1%. Matured in refill European and American oak sherry casks, it balances long-aged richness with Highland Park’s fragrant heathery smoke, allowing the mature spirit and peat character to remain expressive beneath the oak influence.

Dark chocolate, nutmeg and aromatic spice lead towards rich toffee, chocolate orange and Hobbister Hill peat. Despite its considerable age, the whisky retains sweetness, energy and excellent structure, finishing with lingering smoke, mature oak and a subtle maritime character.
