Description
Glenmorangie 14 Year Old The Quinta Ruban Port Finish 70cl, 46% is a rich and full-bodied Highland single malt combining Glenmorangie’s smooth, fruit-driven spirit with the dark sweetness of Portuguese ruby port casks.
The whisky initially matures in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, developing soft fruit, vanilla and creamy sweetness. It is then transferred into carefully selected ruby port pipes from Portuguese wine estates, traditionally known as quintas, for an extended secondary maturation. The full maturation period is 14 years.
The port casks transform Glenmorangie’s delicate character into a darker and more intense whisky. Aromas of Seville orange, walnut and sandalwood lead into mint chocolate, mandarin, Turkish delight and floral sweetness, balanced by black pepper, nutmeg and gently drying oak.
Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered, The Quinta Ruban retains a rich texture and concentrated flavour. Its combination of dark chocolate, peppermint, orange and walnut makes it one of the most distinctive expressions in Glenmorangie’s established range.
Why Choose Glenmorangie 14 Year Old The Quinta Ruban Port Finish 70cl, 46%
This expression stands out because it offers a carefully balanced contrast between Glenmorangie’s soft Highland spirit and the richer influence of ruby port pipes. The bourbon casks provide vanilla, orchard fruit and citrus, while the port maturation adds chocolate, red fruit, nuts and structured spice.
For whisky drinkers, the 46% strength provides more body and flavour intensity than many standard bottlings. The whisky remains smooth and approachable but carries enough depth to satisfy those who prefer fuller, wine-cask-influenced single malts.
The Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old also received significant recognition following its introduction, including a place among Whisky Advocate’s Top 20 Whiskies of 2019 and a Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Ideal For.
This bottle is ideal for Glenmorangie enthusiasts looking for the modern presentation of The Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old.
It is ideal for whisky drinkers who enjoy rich Highland single malts with dark chocolate, peppermint, Seville orange, walnut, Turkish delight and warming spice.
It is also ideal for comparing with the older Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban packaging, the discontinued 12 Year Old version or other port-finished single malt whiskies.

Collector’s Note
Glenmorangie 14 Year Old The Quinta Ruban has collector interest as the modern presentation of one of the distillery’s most recognisable wine-cask-influenced expressions.
This version retains the established 14-year age statement, bourbon-cask foundation, Portuguese ruby-port maturation and 46% bottling strength while presenting the whisky in Glenmorangie’s redesigned bottle and illustrated dark green box.
It is not a limited or individually numbered release, so its principal appeal is as a drinking whisky and as part of a complete Glenmorangie range. However, collectors may find it particularly attractive when displayed alongside the older straight-sided bottle shown in the previous presentation or the earlier Quinta Ruban 12 Year Old.
Complete examples retaining an undamaged presentation box will offer the strongest display value, especially for collections documenting the evolution of Glenmorangie’s packaging and port-cask releases.
