Description
El Dorado Port Mourant Uitvlugt 2010 Orange 70cl, 51% is a limited Guyanese Demerara rum from El Dorado, produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery in Guyana. This release forms part of El Dorado’s Blended in the Barrel series, where selected rum marques are blended immediately after distillation and then matured together, rather than being blended only after ageing.
Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2019, this expression combines rum from the Port Mourant Wooden Double Pot Still with Uitvlugt Continuous Savalle Still influence, carrying the PM and ICBU marques. It was matured for 9 years in ex-bourbon barrels under tropical conditions in Guyana, giving the rum power, depth and mature Demerara richness.
Expect caramel, white pepper, honey, ginger, molasses, nutmeg, clove, liquorice, dark chocolate and long-lasting spice. Bottled at 51% and presented in the original orange box shown in the supplied product image, this is a strong bottle for collectors and serious rum drinkers who enjoy historic-still Demerara rum with bold flavour and technical interest.
Why Choose El Dorado Port Mourant Uitvlugt 2010 Orange 70cl, 51%
This bottle stands out because it combines two important Demerara rum identities: Port Mourant and Uitvlugt. The rums were blended before maturation, allowing the still characters to develop together inside the barrel.
For drinkers, it delivers a powerful profile of caramel, white pepper, honey, ginger, molasses, dark chocolate, nutmeg, clove and liquorice.
For collectors, the 2010 vintage, 2019 bottling, orange presentation, 51% strength and Blended in the Barrel identity make it a very attractive El Dorado limited release.
