Highland Park Ice Edition 17 Year Old 70cl, 53.9% is a limited Orkney single malt released in 2016. It became the first expression in Highland Park’s two-part Ice and Fire collection, preceding the 15 Year Old Fire Edition released later that year.

Inspired by Niflheim, the frozen realm of Norse mythology, Ice Edition reflects stories of the Ice Giant Ymir and the ancient struggles between gods and frost giants. The whisky matured for 17 years predominantly in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, including rebuilt casks fitted with virgin American oak ends.

Pineapple, mango sorbet and root ginger lead towards creamy vanilla, orchard fruit, spice and fragrant peat smoke. Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill filtration and with natural colour, only 30,000 bottles were released worldwide.
