Description

Edradour 12 Year Old 2013 Burgundy Small Batch 70cl, 46% is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Edradour Distillery, known as “Scotland’s Little Gem” and dating back to 1825 in Pitlochry, Perthshire. This small batch release was distilled in August 2013 and bottled in April 2026 after 12 years of maturation.

This release was matured in first-fill Burgundy wine hogsheads, giving Edradour’s naturally full-bodied Highland style a rich red-fruit character. Expect notes of dried cherries, red berries, vanilla, subtle earthiness, soft spice, sweet malt and gentle oak. Bottled at 46%, it offers good flavour concentration while remaining smooth and approachable.

The Burgundy cask influence makes this bottle especially attractive for drinkers who enjoy wine-cask Highland whisky. It is fruity, rounded and slightly spicy, with a darker red-wine depth that makes it different from sherry or bourbon matured Edradour releases.

Why Choose Edradour 12 Year Old 2013 Burgundy Small Batch 70cl, 46%

This release stands out because it combines Edradour’s rich Highland malt character with the elegant fruitiness of first-fill Burgundy wine casks. The result is a whisky with red cherries, dried fruit, vanilla, soft spice, earthy depth and a smooth wine-cask sweetness.

For drinkers, it offers a flavourful 46% strength with strong cask influence but without becoming too heavy. For collectors, the 2013 vintage, 12 year old age statement, Burgundy cask maturation and original tube presentation make it a very attractive Edradour small batch release.
