Edradour 21 Year Old 1999 Bordeaux Finish 70cl, 55.7%
An exceptionally rich, fruity expression of the Edradour distillery character – this long-aged Highlander was initially matured in ex-Bourbon hogsheads then racked into Bordeaux wine casks for a further eight years. It’s a full-bodied dram with intense notes of burnt orange, barley sugars and rosewater. A real treat for any fan of wine cask finished malt.

Description
Tasting Note
Nose: Deep and wine-rich. Redcurrant compote, spiced plum, and old cellar wood. An elegant interplay of berry tannin and antique oak. Hints of cigar wrapper, rosehip, and dark balsamic glaze add intrigue.
Palate: Opulent and textured. Black cherries soaked in Armagnac, forest berries, and dark chocolate truffles. The Bordeaux influence sings—grippy red wine tannins frame layers of cinnamon stick, leather, and clove. A touch of struck match—feral but fleeting.
Finish: Long, dry, and contemplative. Crushed black grapes, cedar, and faint espresso bitterness taper into dried tobacco and red fruit skins.
Overall: Mature, complex, and contemplative. A whisky of brooding depth and vinous elegance—Edradour meets Bordeaux in a darkly poetic duet.
