Speyside (TAM) 11 Year Old 2013 – Small Batch Edition #13 (Signatory)
Released by Signatory as one of its Small Batch Editions, this Speyside single malt was distilled in 2013 and spent 11 years maturing. It was drawn from a host of Bolgheri Italian red wine casks and bottled up without added colour or chill filtration. The distillery of origin isn’t disclosed, but the label does carry a mysterious inclusion – ‘(TAM)’ on the label… any ideas ?

Description
Tasting Note
Nose: Fresh and vibrant. Crisp green apple, pear, and ripe peach combine with honeyed malt, vanilla custard, and delicate floral notes—hawthorn and white blossom. A touch of citrus zest and gentle baking spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—add complexity.
Palate: Smooth and lively. Juicy orchard fruits—apple, pear, and hints of apricot—meld with creamy toffee, almond, and subtle spices. The malt sweetness balances a faint herbal bitterness and soft oak tannins.
Finish: Medium length, clean and warming. Lingering notes of honeyed barley, vanilla, and light spice fade gently.
Overall: A fresh and approachable Speyside malt, showcasing bright fruit and gentle spice with well-balanced oak influence. Small batch character adds finesse and charm.
