Dalmore Luminary No.1 is a limited-edition single malt, release in 2022, that was created in partnership with V&A Dundee and initially matured in American white oak casks, before a second maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon casks, Italian Amarone red wine casks and bespoke Kintsugi casks, made from American white oak, Japanese mizunara oak and Scottish Tay “water” oak. This mix of casks creates aromas of rich fruit, panna cotta and honey-roast almonds that fill the nose, complemented by notes of orange, chocolate, cherries, figs, brioche, ginger cake, dried fruit and honey throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
