An exceptional 14 year old single malt Irish whiskey released by Lough Gill distillery in Sligo under the Athrú name – part of a series of expressions made with whiskey produced elsewhere to be released as the distillery gets prepared to create its own spirit. This expression has been matured in a wonderful combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, imparting a rich sweetness. It was named Annacoona after a cave on Benbulben in Sligo. A release of 6,600 bottles, all in a rather eye-catching bottle and handsome presentation box.

Tasting Note
Nose: Autumnal aromas of melted dark chocolate, dried fruits and orange oil.
Palate: Salted caramel, candied peels, rich dark forest fruits and spices.
Finish: A lingering finish of mocha and jammy cherry notes.
