A very rare Decanter of Johnnie Walker produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Diageo’s facility on Hill Street in Kilmarnock which was only issued to long serving employees of the company.
A bottle of Johnnie Walker produced in 2006 and presented to employees of Diageo, Kilmarnock, to celebrate 50 years of manufacturing at the Hill Street site. This is presented in a crystal decanter with stopper.

The most complex edition to date, 2016 is third bottling in the John Walker & Sons Private Collection series, continuing the themes of the incredibly limited Directors’ Collection and offering these small batch editions of Johnnie Walker to a wider audience. This edition, titled ‘Fine Honeyed Notes’, focuses on the sweeter flavours within the Johnnie Walker range, with some of the 100 casks coming from four closed grain distilleries – Caledonian, Cambus, Carsebridge and Port Dundas.
John Walker & Sons is the premium extension of the Johnnie Walker brand. This is the third edition of the Private Collection, and this 2016 bottling highlights the “Fine Honeyed Notes” achievable with Johnnie Walker blends.
A super-premium blend made up of 100 casks of rare, old Johnnie Walker stock. The grain whiskies used hail from Cameronbridge, Caledonian, Cambus, Carsebridge and Port Dundas, four of which are now closed. These were married in casks before blending with subtle, light and fruity Highland malt whiskies. 8,888 numbered decanters were produced.=

The Ghost and Rare series from Johnnie Walker Blue Label kicked off in 2017 and took a break last year.
Diageo’s Johnnie Walker brand is readying the release of the fourth in its Ghost and Rare series of bottlings from the Blue Label expression.
A tribute to the now-defunct Pittyvaich distillery on Speyside, the no-age-statement blended malt will be available from next month in limited numbers. Whisky from two other closed distilleries, Port Dundas and Carsebridge, features in the blend along with liquid from Speyside’s Mannochmore, Auchroisk, Cragganmore and Strathmill as well as Royal Lochnagar in the Highlands.
Pittyvaich opened in 1974 before closing its doors 18 years later.
When contacted by Just Drinks, a spokesperson for Diageo declined to give specific quantities of the bottling, citing commercial sensitivity. However, each bottle will be “individually numbered”, according to the brand owner.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Pittyvaich follows 2017’s Brora bottling, Port Ellen from a year later and 2019’s Glenury Royal in the series.
