EDITION 2015-2016

The name of Roberto Cavalli Vodka CHAMELEON takes direct inspiration from the unique design of the bottle, which literally changes color, from purple to green, from turquoise to violet, depending on the light source and viewing angle. The effect was achieved by interfering with the reflection and refraction of light from the painted object’s surface.

The paint of the “Chameleon Edition” was manufactured by the deposition of ultra-thin layered structures similar to those sometimes found in nature, such as butterfly wings or sea shells. Precisely controlling the thickness of the multi-layers in the  flake structure produces different colors.

When this special paint is applied, a vibrant metallic sparkle, like a refracting prism, literally changes the apparent color of the bottle as the observer moves. The colors are pigment-free, so do not fade.

The traditional logo of the brand was highlighted in gold in the bottle, while the texture of the animalier print stood out in a neat black at the bottom of the design, next to Roberto Cavalli’s signature.

Produced only in a 700 ml size, it was distributed in selected markets from 2015 to 2016.
