The partnership between Lady Gaga e Dom Pérignon continues with the new limited edition of the Rose Vintage 2008. The collaboration has already created two limited edition bottles (Dom Pérignon Vintage 2010 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2008), as well as an advertising campaign and a sculpture created ad hoc by the artist

Dom Perignon Rosé it is only available as a vintage champagne and is produced only in exceptional vintages.

The Limited Edition Rosè Vintage 2008 is a 100% Pinot Noir, boldly fruity. The bouquet immediately opens on aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry. Powdery notes of iris and violet soon blend with the fruity aromas, giving the palate a persistent and long-lasting sensation. Leaving it to breathe, the wine reveals nuances that evoke privet, angelica and camphor leaves. The finish, with hints of peony and white pepper, is decisive and persistent.

The new vintage is characterized by a unique design, which almost seems to explode into space, characterized by a deconstructed metal coffret that expands from the inside, as if it wanted to escape its own shape, giving the metal an almost ethereal character. All the elements attract each other, capturing an intense vibration.

Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2017

The 2017 Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is a towering wine that shows impeccable concentration, richness and tight balance. The wine opens to deep layers of black fruit, spice, smoky mesquite and campfire ash. It shows big tannic structure that comes with lots of fruit weight and textural padding. But no matter, this is a wine you’ll want to put aside before drinking!

Couhins Lurton Grand Vin De Graves 75cl, 13.5%

  • ( 0 Customer Review )

Grape blend: Merlot 77% / Cabernet Sauvignon 23%

Appareance: Classified a great growth for its white wine, Couhins-Lurton’s red wine is also on a par with the crus classés. The 2010 vintage has a deep, intense, black colour.

Nose
: The bouquet reveals notes of very ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, plum and blackberry) with an empyreumatic character that comes through even more when the wine is swirled in the glass.

Mouth:  This wine is full-bodied and generous on the palate with rich, smooth tannin.  It also has a beautiful velvety texture, without a trace of heaviness.  Oak ageing is evident, but very much under control, and contributes toasty nuances that continue into the long aftertaste. This wine will be at its best in the next four or five years and make a brilliant accompaniment to game, duck and red meats… or even a dark chocolate fondue !

Historically, Serine is another grape variety that grew on the hills of Côte-Rôtie. It is a tribute to this almost extinct grape variety. Some even say it is another name for Syrah. This variety thrives in the granite soils and steep hillsides of this appellation. Our Serine is a powerful wine with a delicate and complex backbone. Notes of ripe red fruit mingle with spice, thyme and laurel and evolve into menthol and pepper on the finish. A wine that will leave a lasting impression.

Clos des Menuts is a good – keeping wine which is round and full bodied with delicate tannins. A very deeply coloured wine. A powerful nose, very complex with notes of vanilla and toasted bread. Full on the palate, the wine has a lovely structure and has good balance between the fruit of ripe grapes and the vanilla oak tannins.

Wonderfully youthful on the nose, the wine seems innocent, but attractive and compelling. Aromas of bright fruit leap from the glass, red berries in abundance. There is a lovely richness here, great structure and depth. Acidity is incredibly well interwoven with tannins to create a concentrated mouth-feel. It’s a really generous, yet fresh and juicy wine. It’s actually rather delicious, even at this young age and a wine which really ought to be considered strongly this year.

95 Wine Spectator(11/30/2018) “This delivers a textbook display of peach, apricot, star fruit and anise notes, but in a package that is livelier than other versions from Condrieu, as racy honeysuckle, quinine and verbena hints add layers of energy through the finish. Drink now through 2022. 415 cases made, 120 cases imported.”
95 Jeb Dunnuck(9/26/2018) “The 2016 Condrieu is straight-up brilliant stuff, the finest Condrieu I’ve tasted from Luis Barruol. Awesome notes of orange blossom, white flowers, citrus oil, and crushed rocks all flow to a deep, rich, textured effort that has fabulous purity and precision. It’s a great example of Viognier from these steep, granite soils and is well worth seeking out. Maturity: 2018 – 2024.

Chateau Ripeau Ripeau Saint Emilion Grand Cru Magnum 1.5L, 14.5%

This stunning vineyard is situated northeast of St. Emilion on your way to Pomerol. Its vines are planted on a terroir located near La Conseillante, and Figeac. One of its closest neighbors is no less than Cheval Blanc! The Grégoire family, who previously owned La Rivière in Fronsac, acquired this estate in January 2015. Since then, it has seen huge investments, renovation and plantation program. The varietal mix has evolved with these new plantings and is better adapted to Ripeau’s terroir.
Over the past four vintages, Ripeau has become one of the top “renaissance” stories in St. Emilion. Once a notorious underperformer, it has been transformed by the new owners into what is already one of the appellation’s best values!

The 2016 vintage was characterized by extreme climatic conditions with record rainfall in the spring, followed
by a hot, dry summer. The flowering was rapid and homogeneous. The leaf removal was only carried out on
the rising sun side to avoid any phenomenon of scalding. The green harvest was carried out in two stages, the
first in July to ensure optimum distribution and aeration of the future harvest; a second in August resulting
in the elimination of maturing clusters. The overall maturation phase was exceptional with favorable weather
conditions, little or no moisture and cool nights. The introduction of sexual confusion in the vineyard has
prevented the appearance of perforations due to the budworms of the cluster. All these parameters made it
possible to determine with precision the optimum harvest date for each plot with perfect maturation and an
impeccable sanitary condition.
Vinification : Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature to preserve the freshness of the fruit
Barrels selection : Quality and heating adapted according to the typicity of each batch
Malolactic fermentation and aging : 50% in new barrels 50% in stainless steel vats

Notes on the Producer

Château Mongravey is located in Arsac in the famous Margaux appellation, about 22 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux. Created in 1980 by Régis Bernaleau by combining several prime parcels in Margaux, the estate produces an exceptional wine due to its unique location between Château Giscours (3ème Grand Cru Classé) and Château du Tertre (5ème Grand Cru Classé). The charismatic Karin Bernaleau joined the estate in 1999 and directs marketing and distribution for Mongravey. Her son, Jérôme, has now joined the family five year ago and is involved in the viticulture and vinification.

It became a “Cru Bourgeois” in the 2003 Classification and was upgraded to “Cru Bourgeois Supérieur” in the 2020 Classification. Mongravey is one of the best Margaux wines available today, surpassing many of the prestigious Classified Growths in quality and over-delivering for the price.

The vineyard is 36 acres in size planted mostly on gravely soil with low yields. After harvest from mid-September to mid-October, the wine is vinified in separate vats and undergoes cold maceration for 5 days to maximize color and to soften the tannins . The alcoholic fermentation lasts for 10 days and 50% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels. Finally, the wine ages 12-14 months in 60% new French oak before being bottled.

Chateau Le Boscq 75cl

Château Le Boscq features among the great classics of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The first wine, Chateau le Boscq Cru Bourgeois, is a St-Estephe wine bursting with character, which elegantly combines the power of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, with the Merlot’s finesse, which is unusual for the appellation. Delicate and well-balanced, it has great ageing potential.

Incredibly deep, and still almost black in appearance. The intense and complex bouquet imparts lovely fruit intensity to notes of cedar, spice and precious wood. The wonderfully supple palate gradually gains in intensity. Densely-packed, silky and very fine-grained tannic structure underpins generous richness on the palate, and is coated with spice and ripe fruit flavours. Smooth and concentrated, the wine culminates in a notably long, lingering finish, characterised by freshness and spice.
