To create Absolut Oak, we developed a bespoke process of first steeping the vodka in oak chips, then cask-ageing it in Swedish, French, and American oak barrels.
During this process, our vodka experienced a transformation we’ve never seen before.
The appearance shifted from clear to a sumptuous dark-gold tint. Complex but subtle, the taste made it a vodka like no other.
Its deep and rich character made perfect for composing cocktails previously reserved for darker spirits, thanks to its distinctive flavor notes.
The innovation behind Absolut Oak made it a flavor that challenged people to forget what they knew about vodka.
Absolut Oak barrel crafted Vodka is the brand’s very own classy interpretation of the very modern area of barrel crafted vodkas. Absolut use the traditional craft of resting spirit in handmade oak barrels, along with a bespoke process of steeping vodka in oak chips.
Since the early 90’s, we have had the privilege of collaborating with fashion designers such asTom Ford and Versace, Stella McCartney and Gaultier. With Absolut Mode, we wanted to further strengthen our commitment to the world of fashion and reflect its diversity by launching this twelve facet bottle in collaboration with three leading names from the contemporary fashion scene.
The campaign, featuring supermodel Shannan Click, was shot by renowned fashion photographer Sharif Hamza. To celebrate the launch of Absolut Mode Edition, we also collaborated with leading fashion designerGareth Pugh, who dressed the bottle in an amazing outfit.
To capture the unique bottle design that is wrapped with a band in midnight blue silk cloth with text embroidery, Sharif Hamza built a large version of the bottle with mirror facets. He placed supermodel Shannan Click within the bottle and dressed her in midnight blue creation. The shoot resulted in one of the most fashionable campaigns Absolut has ever made.
Gareth Pugh’s reflection of fashion is showcased through a unique handmade bottle collar, which sits perfectly on the bottle. Inspired by the “Stealth Bomber” arms from his Spring/Summer 2007 show, Pugh’s bottle collar enhances the silhouette of Absolut Mode, while simultaneously capturing the essence of Pugh’s impressive work.
A special release of Absolut, combining a litre of their crisp Swedish vodka with a limited edition bottle. The bottle is faceted to reflect light and the label is made out of fabric, in honour of the fashion industry.
The rainbow flag. A proud champion of love and freedom of expression. A symbol that unites liberated minds, that encourages people to be who they are.
Absolut Colors. A true belief that everyone has the right to express themselves in any way possible. Love whomever you want to love. Be who you are.
For this limited edition it only made sense to collaborate with artist Gilbert Baker, one of the most prominent forces of the modern LGBT movement and designer of the original rainbow flag back in 1978. Dressed in the Pride flag, the Absolut Colors bottle design was both a nod to our long-standing support for the LGBT community as well as a pledge to continue our support for equality.
Inspiring the world to see how all love is equal, Absolut created a short film documenting a surprise proposal from one lover, Amanda, to another, Paige. We took them back to the beach where they had their first date. A series of clues lead to a proposal of a lifetime. A beautiful memory was preserved forever.
Absolut Colors manifested the important message of solidarity, love and respect for diversity.
Absolut believes #loveislove. And that love is all you need.
One of the many wonderful limited edition presentations of Absolut Vodka – the Electrik bottlings are very shiny indeed, presented in a colbalt blue and a metallic silver.
This is the 70cl colbalt blue edition.
Absolut Elektrik, containing Absolut Vodka Original, was designed to evoke a feeling of energy capable of turning any night electric.
The two colors, with semi-transparent coating to create see-through reflections, represent Absolut’s signature cobalt blue and the electrical conductivity of silver.
When combined, the colours reflect an Elektrik aesthetic reminiscent of those flashing lights and seductive beats at a dance floor during peak time.
Launched in 2007. It replaced Red Label.
Absolut 100 is an intense, yet exceptionally smooth super premium vodka. Even a small amount gives the total Absolut 100 experience. The stylish black bottle stands out from the ordinary, enhancing the luxurious treat.
50% ABV, 100 proof. The increase in alcohol intensifies the flavors. Rich, fine, elegant. One for the connoisseurs. The stylish black bottle ensures there is no mistaking it for anything else – this is super-premium vodka. Mix it up with tonic water and a lime wedge for the Absolut Pure Black experience. Or add Campari, sweet vermouth and a twist of lemon to pour yourself a bold Negroni. The character of Absolut 100 gives all your drinks stronger character.
Brooklyn is all about the stoop. It’s the very epicenter of culture, creativity, conversation and camaraderie. This is where it all starts.
Absolut Brooklyn, launched in 2010, was made to pay tribute to what this vibrant, diverse and cosmopolitan borough of New York City is today. Or as spoken word artist Lemon Andersenput it; “Absolut Brooklyn, the greatest country in the world”
Designed in collaboration with famed filmmaker and actor Spike Lee, the bottle is a colorful depiction of the very stoop where he grew up. The mirror printed design on the back of the bottle, when seen through the clear, red apple and ginger flavored Absolut Vodka, creates a visual depth of the roots of Brooklyn; The Stoops of Brooklyn. Other subtle nods include Brooklyn nicknames on the steps of the stoop and a line from a love letter to Brooklyn written by Lemon Andersen.
As an homage to their mutual origin, Spike Lee directed a film featuring wordsmith Lemon Andersen in the streets of Brooklyn, declaring his respect, love and admiration for the borough that shaped their unique creative expression as artists of two different kinds.
This campaign inspired us so much that even the Lars Olsson Smith seal, never before altered on the iconic ABSOLUT bottle had a makeover, wearing a baseball cap and glasses evocative of Spike Lee.
Aside from all the marketing, we had the honor of collaborating with the amazing organizationHabitat for Humanityand Habitat-NYC, dedicated to transforming lives and the city by building quality, affordable homes for families in need. Apart from the $50,000 donation of the sales profit, a partnership between Spike Lee,visual strategist Fuse Greenand artist-owned Brooklyn retailerBrooklyn Industrieswas made to create a limited-edition t-shirt that celebrates Brooklyn Stoop Life, where a percentage of sales was donated to Habitat-NYC.
This was definitely an Absolut win-win – a philanthropic cocktail with the perfect Brooklyn mixology!

Absolut 72 Bian, featuring the work of young Chinese artist Gao Yu, was our first limited edition bottle for China.
Gao Yu’s design was inspired by the ancient Chinese fable, “Journey to the West,” a heroic story about the monkey king Sun Wukong who acquires the power to undergo 72 transformations (or 72 bian). Using his fearlessness and creativity, he is able to overcome all obstacles.
As 2010 is the year of the Tiger according to the Chinese calendar, Mr. Gao added tiger stripes to the monkey king’s face as a nod to the traditions.
Despite our geographical distance and cultural differences, we can genuinely relate to the history of an icon, in constant transformation, making progress by being bold and creative.
Palm trees, flamingos, music and martini glasses. When designing this passion fruit and orange blossom flavored vodka, we wanted to take you on an adventure from dusk till dawn through the city, the sunny beaches, the vibrant nightlife and the never-ending parties defining the hot spot that is Miami. Looking at the end result, we’d like to think we succeeded.
Apart from the usual – but unexpectedly spectacular Absolut parties (if we may brag a bit), Absolut Miami played host to a number of events and artistic experiences throughout the city, inviting Miamians to join in the celebration and further extending the design concept of “from dusk till dawn”.
We have much love for the Sunshine State and the city of energy. There’s even a bottle to prove that.
Wait. What?
With Absolut Illusion, we got playful. A limited edition bottle that inspired embracing the unexpected and to challenge perspectives in an innovative way.
At first glance it looked just like our classic Absolut Original bottle. On closer inspection some trickery was afoot.
Tilt it. Turn it. The Absolut Illusion label undergoes a playful transition where the liquid is used to magnify and mirror the logo, creating the illusion of the label floating in the Absolut Vodka inside the bottle. From some angles the logo seems to be moving around in the bottle of its own accord.
Real magic or just an illusion? And now for our next trick…

Designed by legendary mixologist Nick Strangeway, is set for professional bartender use only. The exclusive range – consisting of Herbaceous Lemon, Bitter Cherry and Smokey Tea – debutted in select bars in the UK, Sweden and the USA.
A different take on how we offered our limited editions, Absolut Craft was a product designed specifically for the global bartending community and made available exclusively to bartenders in select bars and restaurants around the world.
Developed in close partnership with mixology extraordinaire, Nick Strangeway, Absolut Craft comprised a small-batch of three unique flavors, painstakingly curated by Nick and our team over two years.
Herbaceous Lemon: made with a blend of lemon verbena, lemon thyme and lemon myrtle.
Smokey Tea: a gentle, smokey flavour that came from an infusion of Lapsang Souchong tea, hints of orange peel, cloves and ginger.
Bitter Cherry: an authentic cherry flavour, countered by notes of bitter, dark chocolate.
Matching these sophisticated new flavors, we gave the Absolut Craft bottles a subtle silver-grey metallic coating, inspired by Victorian medicine flasks.
One master bartender. Two years. Three unique flavors. And only 2500 bottles. We’re very proud of this one.

To understand Tel Aviv, one must walk its streets. So Israeli artist Nir Peled, aka Pilpeled, gave us a tour – in his own, very distinguished and magnificent way.

The explosion of bright colors and darker hues embodies Dave Kinsey’s unique balance between his roots in street artistry and extraordinary skills in fine art. A delicate flower, calmly placed in the center of the vibrancy and energy of the city. The interaction, and sometimes the struggle between the urban and the natural. Stunning.
Absolut Kinsey came as part of the Absolut Blank Campaign, where 20 artists from different parts of the world within different fields of artistic expression, were to fill our iconic bottle with their unrestrained creative power.
It was the broad spectra of Dave Kinsey’s skills that made his motif stand out on a blank canvas as well as on the shelf. So we decided to put it there.
This was the first time we challenged the bottle shape by modifying the finish of the glass. Absolut Glimmer was a glimmering version of our iconic bottle, re-designed to dazzle people in any place with the crystal pattern-shaped glass that, when placed in various light conditions, would appear different as it reacted to the light.
Absolut Glimmer containing Absolut Vodka Original was launched in more than 100 markets worldwide.
What do you get for a country’s 150th birthday? A limited edition Absolut bottle sounded like an ideal gift from us.
Much like Absolut, Canada has a long history of diversity, inclusiveness and innovation. So to help us celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, we sought someone who exemplifies those same values to collaborate with us on a limited edition Absolut bottle – Canadian textile artist Libs Elliott.
An innovator at heart, Libs is famous for creating unique quilts using age-old methods blended with cutting edge technology. Each quilt ends up being a one-of-a-kind variation of colour, shapes and fabric – a fitting metaphor for Canada. “We’re also all these different pieces, shapes and colours,” says Libs, “with different beliefs, customs and values – but we all somehow fit together.”
Her Absolut Canada bottle design – created through the same process as her quilt-making – features traditional Canadian motifs and colours to reflect the pride we all shared in this special anniversary. It was also a fitting way for Absolut to celebrate Canada’s rich heritage while looking forward to what lies ahead of us.
Happy birthday Canada! Here’s to 150 years of forward thinking.

When we confirmed our collaboration with Berlin-based American artist Zhivago Duncan, we were hoping for one of his beautifully messy and anarchic pieces of art. And there was not a single splash of disappointment.
Duncan’s design turns the iconic Absolut bottle into a window looking onto one of Berlin’s own iconic Monuments – the Fernsehturm. The bottle features a magnified image of the Fernsehturm’s famous sphere, with aDick Flashquote done graffiti-style: “Es ist nicht einfach immer ein Rebell zu sein” – “It’s not easy to always be a rebel.” A perfect expression of the spirit of a city that has long been at the forefront of contemporary art and culture.
The color palette reflects aspects of Duncan’s own experience of Berlin: gray for the old cement structures, green for the urban forests, turquoise for the oxidation of old statues, cadmium yellow for the golden bricks during a Berlin summer sunset, and pink for the sunrise after a long night out engaging the city and its people.
Duncan never shies away from pushing the boundaries in his artistic expression. Something we can relate to. This collaboration was special to us.

This very rare and highly sought-after 10 year old Laphroaig Cask Strength Red Stripe Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the famous cask strength series and is the successor to the legendary Laphroaig Cask Strength Green Stripe. Bottled in the year 2005-2007 at cask strength 55.7% abv, this terrific single malt is one of the legendary whiskies from Laphroaig, where the rough Atlantic climate around the island of Islay is literally felt on the tongue. The oak casks used in the production of the 10 years Laphroaig cask strength scotch whisky are lightly fired before filling to impart the slightly sweet vanilla-nuttiness of the oak. The Islay single malt whisky is then matured in Laphroaig s warehouses for a period of 10 years before being bottled at cask strength (straight from the wood).
This exceptional and multiple award-winning Laphroaig Islay single malt scotch whisky was rated 92 points by whiskyfun.com (Serge Valentin), is hard to find today and a special highlight for enthusiasts, investors and whisky-collectors of extraordinary Scotch whiskies!

This aged version of the classic Red Label enjoys a similar cult following. Its unique complexity is achieved by expertly blending an extremely diverse, but complementary range of malt whiskies, each of which has been matured for a minimum of 12 years and some for much longer. In total, up to 40 malts and grain whiskies make up the Black Label blend. Island and Islay malts deliver spice, richness and lingering peat. Speyside malts make an important contribution to the depth of taste, bringing smoky malt, fruitiness, apple freshness and a rich sherry character to the blend. At the heart of Black Label lies 12 year old Cardhu, an outstanding malt from Speyside, which imparts silkiness, a characteristic which has made it famous as a single malt.
To date, Black Label has won more international awards for excellence than any other deluxe whisky. In the 1880s, Old Highland won medals in Sydney and Paris. Over 100 years later, in 1994, Black Label picked up gold medals at the 1994 Monde Selection Awards and the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC), where it also won a trophy for Best Blended Whisky. In 1996, it won gold again at IWSC for the best deluxe Scotch Whisky. 40% Alc./Vol.
For Jack’s 160th birthday in 2010, the Distillery took the commonly used Heritage bottle, and with a few modifications, made a bottle unlike any before it. No longer clear glass, this bottle was painted black by Chattanooga Labeling Systems. The idea came from Michael Osborne Design, which also devised the black label for the bottle and the box in which it came. While the 750ml size is quite common, the 1 liter version of this bottle was only released in a limited number of states.

Hirst’s serene painting “Winter Slumber” captures the contrast between the warm, wooden interior of the historic warehouse at Woodford Reserve, and the stone exterior of the building. This snowy scene, recognizable to all guests who have visited Woodford Reserve over the last 24 years, celebrates the fact that whiskey ages year-around, regardless of weather.
A 2018 limited edition of the Master’s Collection, this Kentucky straight bourbon uses the standard Woodford mash bill, and has been aged in specially selected American oak casks. These casks are made from Ozark oak, which has imparted a distintively spicy, nutty flavour profile.

Grape Varieties: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard
Art Nouveau crystal carafe. Soft, rounded and feminine 30-year-old Grande Champagne Cognac. The foremost expression of prestige in the wedding anniversaries series.
Bordered to the north by the Charente, to the south and west by the Né and to the east by the roads from Barbezieux to Châteauneuf and from Châteauneuf to Saint-Même. Named for the clay-limestone nature of its soils on the surface, complemented by soft chalky limestone in the subsoil. The clays give the soil structure, high fertility and good water retention. These soils are therefore not very sensitive to drought, the subsoil acting as a sponge through which water can slowly rise as the summer drought worsens. It is this cru that produces the finest, most delicate, cleanest and most aromatic eaux-de-vie, and those that improve the most with age. When you taste them, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the glass retains the delicious scent and aroma of the cognac it once contained.
Noces de Perle, is a harmonious blend of ten different Cognac’s from the highly sought after Grande Champagne region. Containing a blend of eaux-de-vie aged thirty, fifty, sixty years and more the times of the past are effortlessly bought into the present with this expert craft. Aged for a minimum of 30 years in Limousin oak casks, Hardy’s reputation of undeniable expertise is evident within every drop of this production. One for the connoisseurs to enjoy and savour with a great impression.

The Jack Daniel Distillery unveiled the 2024 edition of a limited Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle to commemorate its partnership with McLaren Racing. Available in Formula 1 race markets across the globe and select states in the U.S., the limited edition Tennessee Whiskey features new packaging and design with a papaya twist on the iconic Old No. 7 logo and dynamic striping to celebrate the new race season.
The limited edition McLaren Racing commemorative bottle is Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey grain bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley, bottled at 80 proof (40% abv). Distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the whiskey is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of charcoal before maturing in new, American white oak barrels handcrafted to the highest standards. It will be available in a 1L bottle in select markets across the U.S. as well as a 1L and 700mL size in F1 race cities internationally.
The wine shows a deep red colour, with the purple undertones very characteristic of Carmenère. The intense nose reveals aromas of black fruit, such as blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by pleasing spice notes of bell pepper and black pepper, joined by sweet notes from the French oak barrels, delivering a very complex wine. The rounded palate of the wine shows extreme smoothness and potency, with a very long, pleasant finish.

Introducing Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey. The Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the most complete whiskey distilleries in the world, and we’re able to craft premium whiskeys in a way that honors our heritage while highlighting the modern-day world-class whiskey-making. To honor our distillery’s past, our Master Distiller, Chris Fletcher handcrafted these aged-stated whiskeys and evolved our whiskey process to achieve a rare flavor profile.
I’m certain I’m not the first to say this, but this bottle and its Bonded and 10-year siblings are all the proof one needs to be convinced that Jack Daniel’s is best at higher proofs. The 12-year is a whiskey of tremendous complexity, character and texture, and the 10-year (review forthcoming) is barely less arresting. This Jack is mannerly, wizened, confident and worthy of standing alongside any American whiskey on a back bar. It belies its shockingly modest MSRP.
The nose is that unmistakably fruity-acetone yeast note from Brown-Forman whiskeys–that curious combo of fresh orange, bubble gum, cooked stone fruit and Luxardo Maraschino liqueur that I love. It’s lush and floral on the palate. Every sip is a wave of warmth and flavor rocking forward with fruit and oak and back with pie crust, pipe tobacco and baking spices. Finishes are rarely at the top of my list of interests, but this one is long, just barely dry and pleasant in every way.
Admittedly, it didn’t hurt a bit to taste it at the distillery in Lynchburg (a must-visit if you’ve not been there) with master distiller Chris Fletcher, an unabashed fan of the 12- and 10-year. Watching a guy’s face–who’s tried this liquid countless times–slip into a long and satisfied grin with a few sips says a lot about what’s in the glass and how it commands a pro’s attention.
For what it’s worth, I enjoy Jack Daniel’s cask-strength releases and even those orange-labeled brutes from Coy Hill (the highest rickhouse on Jack’s campus). But this 12-year is my favorite of the family.
It’s been 100 years or so since the Jack Daniel Distillery released a whiskey of 10 years of age or greater. Evolving Jack Daniel’s past aged-stated whiskey process, these Tennessee Whiskey barrels have been aging in the Buzzard’s Roost of our barrelhouse, and methodically relocated to the lower floors of different barrel houses to extend the aging process for the last 10 summers. The extreme weather variation at different locations in the barrel houses along with longevity in our handmade oak barrels creates an intense, unique character of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
Jack Daniel’s is now fully committed to experimenting with their lineup. After spending decades churning out Old Number 7 and Gentlemen Jack, the distillery in Lynchburg, TN has finally decided to fully embrace the whisky craze and explore new and exciting expressions for their lineup. After winning praise for their Barrel Proof and Bonded products, it feels right that they are now exploring longer maturations. So, while typical Jack Daniel’s is aged for “at least 4 years”, what we are drinking today is aged for at least 2.5 times that – meaning we have a full 10 year age statement!
Jack Daniel’s debuted this 10 year product last year to raucous excitement, and have continued the fun this year with a second batch of 10 year and the addition of an even older 12 year product this time around. And while Jack Daniel’s 12 year, this 10 year is rocking a 97 proof. And honestly, that seems pretty reasonable in a world of wildly expensive limited editions.
Jack Daniel’s 10 year (Batch 3) is an impressive follow up to the highly regarded first batch of Jack Daniel’s 10 year. While I never had the chance to try that first batch, if it was anything like this one, I know why there was so much hype. The 10 years in oak has clearly made a significant impact on the spirit, taking that sometimes brittle Jack Daniel’s profile and creating a rich and deep profile with more oak, complexity, and a fantastic mouthfeel. The longer maturation has balanced the banana Laffy Taffy sweetness and has elevated the profile to an approachable, yet complex place. This is a great pour worth seeking out. The MSRP is spot on here, so anything close to it is an instant buy for me. So, while it isn’t as challenging as Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof can be, this is a fantastic addition to the lineup and might have you rethinking your Jack Daniel’s prejudices.

Selection #12 in Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series line of experimental whiskeys showcases the brand’s classic Tennessee Whiskey finished in Sherry casks for added complexity
Lynchburg, Tennessee (November 27, 2023) – The Jack Daniel Distillery introduces Distillery Series Selection #12, a Straight Tennessee Whiskey Finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks. The latest in the distillery’s line of experimental and innovative whiskeys features Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey with an additional layer of complexity perfect for the season.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series is available in Tennessee only and in limited quantities. Like all Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskeys, the latest expression has a grain bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye and is charcoal mellowed before entering into new, charred American white oak barrels. Once fully matured, the whiskey was then finished in Oloroso Sherry casks for an additional three years.
“We first used Oloroso Sherry Casks with our American Single Malt, and it was only natural to continue experimenting with them to craft innovations that only Jack Daniel’s could,” said Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller. “What resulted was something completely unique that further elevates the complexity of Old No. 7 but maintains a balanced profile. We can’t wait for our friends to try what we believe is the perfect sip for the season.”
The straight Tennessee Whiskey has an aroma of sweet citrus on the nose, which builds to a taste of rich baking spices, nutmegand caramel. It’s crowned with a lingering finish of notes of red fruit, achieved through maturation in the Sherry casks.
Selected by Whiskey Taster Randall Fanning, who recently retired after nearly 50 years with the brand, Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series Straight Tennessee Whiskey Finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks is bottled at 90 proof (45% abv) and will be available in select stores in Tennessee and at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop at the Jack Daniel Distillery beginning December 2 in 375ml bottles.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery Distillery Series selection #11 is a Tennessee Whiskey that’s finished in Añejo Tequila barrels. Bottled at 90 proof, it’s available in 375ml bottles According to Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller, “this añejo tequila barrel-finished whiskey pushes the bounds on what people may expect out of a Tennessee Whiskey, yet still has the familiar characteristics that are uniquely Jack Daniel’s.
The Distillery Series, as you may have gleaned from the name, are whiskey releases that are available to purchase from the distillery (and also at a few select Tennessee retailers). These are smaller bottles (375 ml instead of 750 ml) that are also produced in smaller batches in terms of the actual liquid. Past expressions have included a Toasted Maple Barrel Finished Rye and a Straight Tennessee Whiskey Finished with Toasted Pecan Wood Chips. This new expression, selected by whiskey taster Danny Lamb, is classic Jack whiskey matured in new charred American white oak barrels for at least four years, and then finished in barrels used to mature añejo tequila (meaning it was aged for more than a year) for one year and seven months. Parent company Brown-Forman owns a few different tequila brands, so while it’s not disclosed these barrels may have been used for Herradura or El Jimador.
As one of the most complete distilleries in the world, we’re fortunate to have the ability to experiment with every part of the whiskey making process, and that’s what our Distillery Series is all about,” said Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s master distiller, in a statement. “This añejo tequila barrel-finished whiskey pushes the bounds on what people may expect out of a Tennessee whiskey, yet still has the familiar characteristics that are uniquely Jack Daniel’s.

The Maxwell House Decanter was considered one of the most beautiful of its time and oddly enough it was not Jack Daniel who was responsible for designing it. That honor instead went to Lem Motlow. This bottle was created to mirror the style of Macallan from the 1950s, which is described as being of ‘intriguing depth’ and with a subtle hint of peat.
Part of a series launched for the Travel Retail market by Macallan in the late 1990s/early 2000s, this expression was created to reflect the flavours of their whiskies produced in the 1940s. A creamier, more bourbon-cask-influenced Macallan than the heavily-Sherried Macallan you’ll likely be familiar with, and with a particularly pronounced peaty hint.

This 19-year-old single malt is part of Balvenie’s Stories range which champions the unsung heroes of the whisky world – the coopers. Exclusively matured in ex-oloroso casks this dram has aromas of orange peel, toasted pecan and fig on the nose, leading to stewed fruit, cherry and pecan on the palate.
The Dalmore 45 has been hand crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson who has used some of the distillery’s rarest aged liquids to create what Richard himself has described as ‘flawless perfection’.
Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, the liquid has then been transferred into two different Vintage Graham’s Port Colheita pipes dating from 1961 and 1963 to create layers of flavour, which are indulgent, smooth and complex.
For its final flourish the whisky was then married together in first fill American white oak ex-bourbon casks providing The Dalmore 45 with a truly unrivalled finish. The Dalmore’s use of multiple casks is a fitting example of the distillery’s commitment to exquisite cask curation, which focuses on sourcing and utilising only the best casks from the world’s finest bodegas and wineries.
Purposefully retained at 40% ABV, The Dalmore 45 features exquisite flavours of red berries, soft liquorice, crushed hazelnuts, bitter chocolate and Manuka honey. This is followed by the sweet flavours of sticky toffee pudding, Bramley apples and juicy dates to finish.
Richard Paterson commented: “By personally selecting the very finest American white oak ex-bourbon casks and Port Colheita Pipes from 1961 and 1963, I have been able to create a truly unique expression which is indulgent and smooth with a vibrant and lively flavour profile. It takes time, dedication and passion to create an expression like The Dalmore 45 and age has gracefully matured this distinguished spirit to make it one of The Dalmore’s greatest aged spirits. This is a very special whisky, which I would describe as flawless perfection.”
Only 500 bottles of The Dalmore 45 will be released globally this year. 2021 Release

THE HARMONY COLLECTION FINE CACAO
A single malt whisky characterised by a milk chocolate profile, which pairs in perfect harmony with the finest chocolates for a rich tasting experience.
The Harmony Collection derives from the fusion of our inherent curiosity with our principles of innovation and creativity. The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner immersed himself in the art of coffee, exploring the process from field to cup and uncovering the distinct flavour profiles at each stage.
The Macallan Harmony Collection Fine Cacao is part of the first Global Travel Retail edition in a new limited annual release series, which shines a spotlight on our sustainability journey and intrinsic connection to nature. Created using natural materials, the simple and beautiful packaging is 100% recyclable and is made using 100% green energy.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The Macallan Harmony Collection Fine Cacao will be available in The Macallan Airport Boutiques and from Singapore Changi Airport Lotte Duty Free shops from May 2022, before being introduced more widely to global travel retailers from June 2022. Springbank Local Barley 10yo 2021 700ml
This is one of a select number of releases produced using malted barley harvested from neighbouring farms in the Campbeltown area. They were first introduced in the late 1990s, and were eventually re-named as the Local Barley series in the 2000s.
This is the 2021 release of the mid-2010s revival of the Local Barley range. Originally intended to be a 5 part series, which would have made this the last, but this is instead now being marketed as an annual release.
Distilled in May 2011 and bottled in December 2021, the ‘local barley’ comes from the varietal, Belgravia, and was grown in Campbeltown at the Glencraigs Farm.
Limited to only 15000 bottles.
This Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been distilled from barley grown on the Kintyre Peninsula within a few miles of Springbank. The barley is then malted on our own malt floors using traditional production techniques before it is turned into spirit, matured into whisky and bottled on-site, making this a 100% Campbeltown Single Malt.”
The 2021-release of Springbank’s annual Local Barley 10 Year Old single malt has been made with Belgravia barley from Glencraigs Farm near Campbeltown. Aromas of digestive biscuits, summer flowers, rich malt, vanilla custard, custard cream biscuits and vibrant cherry fill the nose, complemented by notes of Victoria sponge, honey, sweet barley, sticky syrup and salted caramel throughout the palate.
